Björsbo is located in the region of Gnosjö, well known for it´s many small manufacturing workshops. Surrounded by a rocky woodland with lots of small water streams and forest lakes. Right here it was hard to develop the farming culture and the people of Småland became known as creative and thrifty in the striving to survive the days.
This is where our family lives since as long as it´s possible to follow. This is our obvious place on earth and we wouldn’t change that for the world.
Björsbo means the nest of the bear and was in early days a croft under a bigger estate. The life as a crofter family was hard and you would need to know how to make the most of the land, the forest and the lake to live a decent life. In Björsbo there was also a mill where farmers in the nearby hamlets ground his grain. There has been many carriages traveling the very same winding gravel road that lead you to the wilderness campsite. Since 2014 the croft pastures on the slope over the small forest lake offers beautiful spots for your mobile vacation home.
